THE CHURCH SAINT MARTIN: The heritage of Rustiques is rich.
The church, dedicated to Saint-Martin, dating from the 12th-13th centuries, was part of a group held by the Templars, then by the Hospitallers of St. John of Jerusalem also called the Order of Malta. The vocation of these monks-soldiers was to cure in a building, here attached to the church, called the Commandery. This Commandery depended on that of Homps, then that of Grezan in the Hérault
Adjacent to it, the Tomb of the Commanders of Saint John of Jerusalem was restored in 1991.
