This chapel was originally a rectangular building. An exterior bell on the roof was used to make shells during the First World War. In 1932, a bell tower was built to house the new bell, which was officially named on 16 August 1934. This chapel has been saved from ruin several times thanks to the dedication and determination of the people of Trausse. The chapel is open every day. It is located 500 metres from the village, at the foot of the Mediterranean scrubland, in an area of greenery shaded by plane trees, with tables, benches and a fountain to welcome walkers. It contains votive offerings, a holy water font, an altar, chandeliers and a Way of the Cross. The ‘Les Amis de la Chapelle de Saint-Roch’ association.
